Kravings
Kravings recently opened on Lee Lane in Horwich, and describes itself as a dessert lounge, where you can buy ice creams, ice cream sundaes, ice cream milkshakes, traditional falooda, belgian waffles, cakes, and other delicious goodies, as well as hot and cold drinks, and enjoy them in a relaxed atmosphere.
Speaking to one of the staff, it also seems Kravings has plenty of plans in the pipelines, such as healthy smoothies, new desserts, and eating challenges, meaning all the menus will have to be reprinted, which is a good thing, as some of the descriptions are... odd... I think a translation issue perhaps:
The service is very friendly and welcoming, and the venue itself is bright and modern, and comprises of traditional booth seating, and decoration on the walls created with spray paint. There's also a big TV you can chill out and watch.
I ordered a Cookies and Cream Sundae, and my partner ordered a Honeycomb sundae. Both were freshly prepared for us and brought over to our tables.
The sundaes were really delicious, and I was pleasantly surprised to find that my cookies and cream sundae wasn't just cookies and cream ice cream, but also loaded with chopped and crushed cookies throughout! Delicious!
I also ordered a hot tea. For some reason I find a hot cup of tea works really well with a nice cold ice cream sundae. My tea was made perfectly for me and brought over in an irish coffee glass, which was a nice touch of class. My partner also ordered a Bumblebee Milkshake, which was delicious, and brought over by a staff member who placed it on the table whilst making buzzing noises!
Definitely somewhere to go for a bit of fun, and a naughty treat! Be sure to take a selfie with their selfie frame!
